The island of flowers, Madinina, Iwana Kaera...
Martinique, with its sublime and varied nicknames, can be full of surprises. Nothing to do with its size, as it is only 80 kilometers long by 40 kilometers wide!
However, in the south the landscape is drier and hillier, with white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Not to mention the famous sugar cane plantations.
Further north, wilder and with fresher temperatures, there is a more mountainous feel with stunningly dense vegetation. There are also beautiful beaches of black (volcanic) sand as well as fields of bananas and pineapples.
This island will certainly make an impression on you so don't hesitate to go and have a look round it on board one of our sailing ships!
